The latest news is from last summer: Our office is temporarily in a camper. The goal is to locate our Alaska office/retreat in Valdez. The internet is very informative but is not a substitute for "walking your spaces". Alaska is a space that everyone should experience. Whittier is not as desirable as Valdez for several reasons. Our camper can be used by members who have the time to travel to and from Alaska with their families. A condo for a permanent office in Valdez could be rented to non-members . Valdez is also on the Alaska Marine Highway and Frank's company has a refinery there. The city of Valdez has an opening for an IT specialist but all of our people are "over qualified". There is an abandoned resort 40 miles to the north that consists of several log cabins by a river in a mountain valley. The only other resort on this 110 mile stretch of the Glen Allen Hwy was recently bought by a Russian family. It was cheap.
P.S. Paradoxical Commandment #9 is "People really need help but may attack you if you do help them. Help them anyway" Paradoxical Commandment #10 is "Give the world the best you have and you'll get kicked in the teeth. Give the world the best you have anyway."
